It’s been a busy season here at Handmade by Heather, even if the summer heat has made me dream of crisp fall mornings.
Lately, when I’m not busy with other summer activities, I’ve been spending time experimenting with a few new ideas. One of my favorite projects has been creating crochet-topped tea towels, along with lace-trim tea towels that add a simple, timeless touch to the kitchen.
I’ve also been practicing Tunisian crochet, and I’m excited to finally have my first Tunisian design available in the shop: the Luxury Nectar Spa Cloth. Learning a new technique has been both challenging and rewarding, and it’s opened the door to so many future design ideas.
What’s on My Hook?
Right now I’m slowly working on a Tunisian Luxury Cloud Spa Cloth using Pima Cotton in the very soft pink color called Mademoiselle. It’s taking a little longer than usual because I’m finishing up a few custom orders first, but I’m excited to get back to it whenever I have a quiet moment. I can’t wait to share the finished piece with you!
As much as I’m enjoying summer, I’ll admit I’m counting down the days until cooler weather arrives. I’m looking forward to pulling out the cozy yarns and spending my evenings making sweaters, blankets, and all the warm projects I have in mind.
